Lorenzino GIUSTI，Freelance consultant onenvironmental chemistry (water and soil quality) and energy conservation. He main research interests have been in the field ofapplied geochemistry, ranging from mineral exploration geochemistry toenvironmental chemistry, and more recently he has been focusing on thefollowing main areas:

(a) soil and sediment contamination, determination ofbioavailable fractions of soil pollutants;

(b) waste management (health implications of wastemanagement practices);

(c) the application of nanotechnology to the treatment ofcontaminated land and water;

(d) environmental issues associated with desalination;

(e) energy conservation.
